On the first day of the holiday I suggest you journey to Stormwind and follow a quest chain that will have you make all the food x5 and journey between Stormwind, Ironforge, and Darnassus or Orgrimmar, Thunderbluff, and Undercity. You can talk to any of the holiday vendors to pick up a Bountiful Cookbook which will contain all 5 holiday recipes.

Hallow's End is here again! Hallow's End was the first in-game Holiday World Event to use the Achievement system in World of Warcraft. Some achievements have changed this year making them a little easier to obtain but they require quite a large amount of time to complete.


I would suggest going for all of the Meta-achievements first. The luck achievements are just that... Luck, so no real advice besides cross your fingers :).

I would suggest going for the Meta portions of this Holiday's achievement list if you're worried about missing it. Brewmaster is part of the overall Holiday Meta achievement What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been. Some people may want to go for non-meta achievements like Disturbing the Peace which requires you to wear 3 pieces of Brewfest getting smashed and dancing in Dalaran thinking they could return the clothing.

Last year you were able to return your clothing which is pretty expensive token wise but you cannot return it again this year. I repeat, you cannot return clothing for tokens. I say this because Blizzard removed that ability to return clothing last Midsummer's Fire Festival to prevent the same idea of tokens being used for multiple purchases and returns so plan on farming those tokens every day because they've done the same to the clothes for this holiday too. You can find the main Brewfest Hub's outside Orgrimmar for Horde and outside Ironforge for Alliance.

Get down to Booty Bay for rum and wenches you scalawag!

September 19th is International Talk like a Pirate Day. Arrrr Matey. Today you'll be able to get an achievement for a nifty 10 points. You can get The Captain's Booty by going to Booty Bay and getting on top of the Bank there. You can do this by going to the top level of the tavern near the Horde Flightmaster and hopping onto the roof. All you have to do is talk to Dread Captain DeMeza "Scourge of the South Seas" and she'll making you an honorary member of the crew. It's an easy achievement and a pretty cool reward. You get to be a pirate for 12 hours.

There is an exploit where you queue 5 friends and one friend leaves and you invite someone lower than 85 who can use the dungeon teleport feature to gain access to the event. I suggest this only with an entire group of friends because doing it and kicking some random person is a jerkoff thing to do.

Essentially you need to get to the Golakka Hot Springs in Un'Goro as a bunny... you can either keep opening Brightly Colored Eggs until you get a debuff that turns you into a bunny, then run / portal your way to Un'Goro. Or you can bring a friend that has the Blossoming Branch and have them put the costume on you in Un'Goro. Then it's simply a matter of standing near / in the hot spring until you lay an egg.

Description: Obtain a Lovely Charm Collector's Kit from Kwee Q. Peddlefeet located outside of every major city auction house. That will allow you to collect Lovely Charms off of mobs that you kill. Combine 10 Lovely Charms to make a Lovely Charm Bracelet. You need 12 Lovely Charm Bracelets (120 Lovely Charms) to get this achievement.

In the previous years you could collect and sell charms and bracelets but this year Charms are BOP but Bracelets are not.

Stage 1 - Aspirant

At aspirant rank you have access to 3 dailies, doing these will get you 5 Aspirant's Seals each day, and you will need 15 to reach the next rank.

The quests are:

Learning the Reins - Requiring you to perform some basic techniques on target dummies - 2 Seals
Training in the Field - Kill 8 Scourge in Icecrown, almost any will do - 1 Seal
Weapon Quest - This will be one of 3 quests that will have you fly all over the continent to get a weapon - 2 Seals

I would recommend dueling with other players too. For one it gives you an achievement should you win, secondly players are harder than any npc can be (especially as the tournament progresses) and will help train you.

You should also head over to the western pavilion and start working on your Black Knight quest line. This can't be fully completed until Champion rank, but at least you can get all the legwork done now.

After you do these dailies for 3 days, you will be able to complete 'The Aspirant's Challenge', after which you will be sent to defeat an Argent Valiant. He's not that hard, but if you get your shield to 3 stacks before engaging it does help. After you finish him, you'll be asked to speak to your city representative to be promoted to valiant.

My Girl Loves to Skadi All the Time

Achievement: My Girl Loves to Skadi All the Time
Required By: Glory of the Hero
Achievement rewards: Points: 10

Preparation:
Assign harpoon duty to 2 players(or a single quick player) and assign them launchers. There are three harpoon launchers, and they each have a small cooldown(just a few seconds). With 2 players, one player will use a single launcher twice(left for example). The second player alternates between the middle and right launcher.

Skadi the Ruthless is the 3rd boss in Utgarde Pinnacle, and completing this achievement is easily paired with Lodi Dodi We Loves the Skadi. He is also the source of Reins of the Blue Proto-Drake. If your group is attempting to do both achievements then reset the event by running back out the entrance or wiping after you've collected the harpoons. To complete this achievement, 5 harpoons must hit Grauf on the same pass.

Once you have your harpoons, wait for an emote that indicates your target is in range, and shoot Grauf down! The biggest threat Skadi poses to your party is his whirlwind, which is reduced by your having your ranged DPS and healer stand at max range while your tank taunts the boss away from the group. His whirlwind damage can also be significantly reduced by Disarm/Dismantle.

This achievement is one of the hardest achievements to aquire in Glory of the Hero



1. The casting speed is based on how much health Moorabi has left - less health, faster casts. I don't know the exact numbers but it's been said cast time reduces by 1% every 1% of hp he loses. With this theory it would mean 2s cast at 50% and 1s at 25%. The last cast which can still be interrupted without bigger problems, comes around 30-35% hp.

2. The cooldown between casts is also dependant on his health remaining. Again no hard facts of the numbers but at first with full health the cd is around 10 seconds. Below 50% hp it will be around 4-6s.

3. Moorabi CAN use Transformation even while the players are still under the effects of Quake. I'm not sure if this is only due to a server lag but in any case, this doesn't happen very often and generally it's nothing to worry about.

4. The boss is immune to all cast time increasing effects and to silence effects. Ie. Silence or Strangulate doesn't interrupt his cast.

5. He can be counterspelled.

6. He can be interupted with Hammer Of Justice.

7. He uses his AoE stun randomly and its just bad luck if it happens at the same time as a transform.

100 total mounts are needed for this achievement. This essentially means getting a lot of factions up to exalted at the bare minimum. In the guide below, I will be separating the mounts by faction and they will be listed in order from the slowest speed to the highest. I will also include the minimum amount of reputation needed, what faction is needed to achieve, and how much it will cost you at the minimum reputation needed for each mount.

Alliance Mounts/Flyers:

Human Mounts - Obtained at any level of faction with Stormwind, if you are not human, then you must be exalted with Stormwind.

Achievement: Higher Learning

Each of the books needed for this achievement spawn at a specific location within Dalaran. These locations can be seen on the map above. Each book is on an individual timer (they don't all spawn at the same time). Each location will spawn a book every 3-4 hours, however there is only a chance that the book that spawns will be one of the books required. Once spawned a book will remain until roughly 2-3 minutes after someone reads it.

1: Transmutation: Spawns on the bottom floor of Ledgermain Lodge, on the empty bookshelf.
2: Enchantment: Spawns on the 2nd story balcony of the store Threads of Fate, on the crate.
3: Conjuration: Spawns in the Violet Citadel, on the bottom floor bookshelf.
4: Divination: Spawns in Violet Citadel, upstairs on the left (near the Caverns of Time portal).
5: Necromancy: Spawns on top floor of Ledgermain Lodge, on an empty bookshelf.
6: Abjuration: Spawns in the Dalaran Visitor Center, downstairs near the bookshelf.

I'm writing this guide for a couple reasons. First of all, having done it on my server for when the patch hits I'm being flooded by PMs asking me the best way to go about it.

Second, I looked through a lot of guides and strategies while working on this; every single one of those guides was written by someone working on it but not having completed it, and quite frankly a lot of the info being put out is flat out wrong or a very inefficient way of doing it since they had yet to try it out.

Third, I came up with some great ideas to help with this achievement that I have yet to see anyone else mention. Thank me for it later.

Insane in the Membrane

If you don't know what I am talking about, a new meta achievement is being added to the game in 3.1, called "Insane in the Membrane". It grants the title "the Insane". The requirements are as follows:
