We had an issue with our scanner discarding scores above 11675. This issue has been fixed and our scanner has been restarted by our admins. You should very soon have real totals of the top players from around the world! Anyone at anytime can update their character by going to http://www.wow-achievements.com/add/ It is case-sensitive.

It's been a great year and we hope for another great year. Everyone is back from vacation and the holidays. You can expect a lot more posts about achievement guides and walkthroughs, site news, and even some site projects coming up. We have surpassed 20,000,000 World of Warcraft characters scanned. A momentous occasion with 20,000,949 characters scanned at 5:06pm PST. Scanning and archiving the large amount of data for 20 million characters is no small task. Thanks to our admins and Zizzero Pty. the hardware support has been outrageously generous. Thank you Blizzard for making the game, achievements, and the clean xml of Wowarmory.com.

Our focus for the site right now is to continue our work on the stability of our scanner and to reduce the wait time for scans. You may want to watch to forums for some exciting news on that in the coming week. The number of new characters is certainly going to jump drastically when Cataclysm launches as we all make our Goblins and Worgens. Of course this couldn't be possible without Mep; the original owner and still lurker of this site. To all the past writers and staffers at the site as well as our current writers and staff, Jangutu, kFc, raal, k and r, a big thumbs up.

*Update*

There is currently an issue with the Wow Armory where some users are not being updated, and some have been wiped clean in some manner. They will show 0/0/0 talent points, and 0 achievements.
There is no need to panic as we are looking into this and making sure it's not affecting our users, though it might cause some delay in our own updating as we pull all of our data from the Wow Armory.

Here is an example of the bug. Some users have reported it being fixed after an unknown amount of time, as the armory may have updated them again.

The armory can on occasion take several days to process updates for characters, even longer if there is a major modification such as a paid service, etc... However I am going to report this just to ensure that everything is functioning regularly. I'll update again if I have further information. :)

Hi Everyone!

We've spent the last few days tuning the site following the upgrade. As soon as this is completed, some previously announced features will be introduced as well as some new ones! This includes Advanced Search and some further statistics. You may have also noticed that some of the "First To Have It Statistics" didn't seem right - now with the scanner having run for longer these are closer to being correct.

In addition the columnists should all soon start producing their weekly gems. If you are interested in writing a regular column (or an irregular one!) then email kfc.

The new site is up! Here is the updated list of changes and new features:

1. Full guild rankings by average and total achievement points.
2. Chinese, Taiwanese and Korean characters - we might see some other entries in the top lists!
3. Embedded blog with admin interface for columnists. Blogs can be attached to achievements.
4. Comments for each object (user/achievement/blog/guild).
5. Automatic update of the achievement criteria from wowarmory.
6. Preferential scanning of characters and guilds. Anyone who visits WoW-Achievements.com and searches or displays a character or guild will cause that character or guild to be scanned more frequently than other guilds and characters.
7. Updated character display with percentages for all achevement and ranking categories.
8. Feats of Strength Ranking.
9. Updated percentage completion statistics for all achievements.
10. Updated firsts for all achievements.
